The CNA performs a wide range of patient personal care while serving as a vital link between a patient and the rest of the healthcare team. They are normally employed to assist patients at hospitals, nursing homes, adult day care centers, long-term residential facilities, and rehabilitation centers. After completion of 84 classroom hours and 16 clinical hours, students may apply to take the National Nurse Aide Assessment exam for certification and placement on the Mississippi Nurse Aide Registry.
